Life in Black and White: February

It’t time again to have a glimpse of my life and some of my fabulous photography friends in our Life in Black and White blog circle…

My husband and I had a much needed weekend without kids in Vancouver.  We had tickets to see the Barenaked Ladies in concert – they were awesome as usual.  We also got to have many fabulous meals, including dining al fresco on a cold January night (while watching a hockey game), enjoying some amazing doughnuts, flights of wine and music in a wine bar, and sake tasting.  In addition to getting to sleep in for two mornings in a row we were walking all over downtown Vancouver.  My husband let me walk leisurely around Granville Island and play with my new Lensbaby Spark.  It was a wonderful weekend away.  Here’s a glimpse of our weekend.

  1. So many wonderful shots and a sweet story as well! Thanks for sharing!! Looks like a beautiful place! I love the one with the chocolates, really makes me want to reach out and grab one!

  2. Ohhh, LOVE Vancouver! I have only been once but it is so incredibly beautiful and you captured that beauty! My favorites are the boats with the reflection and the last one – just gorgeous! Looked like you had lots of fun!

  3. These are wonderful! I’ve never been to Vancouver, but these pictures make me want to put it on my vacation list. The distillery images are so interesting, and I love the boats and scooter. The lensbaby is a great way to add extra interest too.

  4. Ally, I’m so glad you got to go away with your dearest! Not a bad choice for a destination ;). Gran Isle is one of my absolute favourite places and it looks like you definitely hit the highlights there. That last image is soooo Coal Harbour and False creek. I think I saw one once with a helipad on it. Love your share <3!
